Deep Rock Galactic Screen Flickering or Tearing Issue on PC: If you’re playing Deep Rock Galactic on PC, you may be experiencing screen flicker and tearing issues. If you’re getting these errors, it’s likely your computer isn’t running at the optimal frame rate. In this article, we’ll show you how to fix these issues.
Deep Rock Galactic is a visually stunning, yet extremely confusing, space shooter that was released earlier this year. The game features stunning graphics, unique gameplay mechanics, and a ton of content.
Unfortunately, Deep Rock Galactic is plagued by bugs that make the game unplayable. One of the worst bugs is the Screen Flickering or Tearing Issue, which occurs when the frame rate drops significantly. The frame rate is the speed at which images move across the screen, and when there are too many frames per second, the game begins to stutter.

Deep Rock Galactic Screen Flickering or Tearing Issue on PC: How to FIX
Here at TechisNext, we are huge fans of Deep Rock Galactic. It’s a challenging but incredibly fun game that takes us back to the early days of gaming. However, some people have discovered a strange issue where the game will randomly stop. This bug often causes the screen to flicker, and it can also cause the in-game credits to randomly disappear.
Deep Rock Galactic, a new release by Frontier Developments, is causing some issues on PC. If you are playing the game on your PC and facing issues like screen flickering or tearing, then here we have mentioned a few methods to fix it.
Enable V-Sync in Nvidia Control Panel ( Deep Rock Galactic Screen Flickering )
In 2017, Nvidia re-enabled V-Sync by default on all GeForce cards. If you’re using a G-Sync monitor, then V-Sync will be turned on automatically, making the gaming experience smoother.
However, some gamers prefer to enable V-Sync themselves, so that they can enjoy smoother frame rates even when their monitor isn’t doing G-Sync. Here’s how to enable V-Sync in Nvidia’s Control Panel.
Although V-Sync is a handy feature to have, it actually adds extra latency to games. And it has the unfortunate side effect of making games look like there’s tearing when they’re actually perfectly smooth.
If you’re tired of V-Sync breaking your favourite games—and you’re running the latest Nvidia drivers—you can disable it in Nvidia Control Panel.

Try Lowering In-Game Graphics Settings on a PC
PC gamers have access to a wide range of settings and hardware that gaming consoles don’t have. For example, gamers can overclock their CPU and GPU, adjust the screen resolution, adjust in-game graphics settings, and customize the keyboard and mouse.
The graphics settings found in PC games are a lot more complex than those found in console games. Learn how to adjust in-game graphic settings on your PC with these handy tutorials so you can play your game the way you want to.
How do you get the most out of your gaming computer? If you’ve left it running in the background while you do other things, chances are, your system is rendering and not using all of its potentials. To do that, start by lowering the in-game graphics settings on your games.
Update GPU Drivers
Your computer’s graphics card (GPU) handles many graphics-intensive tasks, such as gaming or video-conferencing. When your system’s GPU driver becomes outdated, you may need to update it in order to continue experiencing smooth function.
The graphics card, or GPU, is the brain of the computer. It’s responsible for displaying the screen, as well as handling graphics and computing. It’s a vital component, one that can be affected by old or damaged drivers.
Updating GPU drivers can help resolve issues ranging from slow or choppy performance to failing to boot or display desktop icons.
Your computer’s video graphics card (GPU) is responsible for a lot of what goes on behind the scenes. Some GPUs, like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, are good enough to render some video games at 60 frames per second (FPS).
But there’s usually room for improvement. Updating your video driver may improve your GPU’s performance, so it’s worth checking it out. Here’s how to do it.
AMD has had to make a few changes this year to the graphics driver of its Linux-based Catalyst driver, which supported AMD GPUs on Ubuntu Linux.
The first changes occurred in February when AMD released Catalyst 18.7 and 18.8 with support for AMD FreeSync on AMD GPUs under Linux. The support was based on the FreeSync specification, which AMD acquired when it bought a combined broadcast and video processing company called Allerex.
Close Unnecessary Background Tasks on a PC ( Deep Rock Galactic Screen Flickering )
When you sit down to play a game, the last thing you want to do is have your screen flooded with activity. That’s because the more you let apps run in the background, the more resources those apps use, and the more your battery life suffers.
Luckily, it’s fairly easy to stop apps from running in the background—just right-click on their icon and choose “Background App Refresh.” Then, uncheck “Enable Background App Refresh.” To stop apps from running while you’re not using them, right-click on the icon and choose “Close App” or “Force Close.”
Running in the background on your PC can slow down your computer. Windows 10 has some built-in tools that let you close background tasks, but you may find you need more advanced features. Learn how to close background tasks on Windows, including the task manager and task scheduler.
Check Your Internet Connection
When it comes to the Internet, speed is everything. Fast internet speeds mean you can access streaming videos, download large files, and connect to your family and friends more quickly.
Slow internet, on the other hand, can mean you’re left waiting forever for videos to download, site pages to load, or emails to send. That’s why it’s important to check your internet connection regularly, to ensure that you’re getting the speed you pay for.
Everybody agrees that without an internet connection, life would be pretty dull. But what you might not realize is that the internet connection in your home may not be working as well as you think. In fact, a broadband speed test can help to ensure that you have one.

Depending on the game and platform, you might need to run through a series of steps or perform specific actions. To help you find the specific steps to follow, we’ve compiled this short, easy-to-read guide.
Game junkies get more than they bargain for when they start downloading and playing the latest games. As the game file sizes continue to grow, the gigabytes of storage space on your hard drive fill up before you know it.

Video games are big business, and with good reason: they are fun! Video games are also big business because so many millions of them get pirated, and acquiring them for free is appealing to a lot of people.
But it’s not just illegal downloads that these pirates are after. They want the legit version of the game, too, and the only way to be sure you don’t have a pirated copy is to verify that all files in a legitimate game are intact and haven’t been tampered with.

Set High Performance in Power Options on a PC
If you’re buying a new computer, you probably want customizable options for your Windows settings—especially when it comes to power options. (Who isn’t?) But often, you don’t get to choose those options, because Windows often makes the default choices for you. But you can change your mind about what power options to use, which can help you get the most out of your computer.
To do this, open your Windows power options by clicking the Start button and typing “Power Options” into the search field. The setting of high-performance mode in Power Options on a PC helps to improve the performance of a computer when playing a game or running a program with complex operations, such as video rendering or rendering 3D models.

What is my Experience
Hello, another problem. I’ve been having an extreme problem, my screen flickers and tears while playing games. It’s pretty random. One second it’s fine, the next it’s flickering and tearing and I’m only getting about 20-25 FPS while the refresh rate is 60.
I’ve tried this on 2 PCs and both have the same issues. I’ve tried everything. When I start a game I’m on the normal screen. Then I open the game and the problem starts. I’ve tried deleting the cache, I tried and so did someone else.
I did a clean install of GTA V, tried different controllers, and even tried toggling the G-Sync on and off. I’m not super technical but it helps.
